A Weekend of Mindful Wellness

September 19-22, 2019 Asheville, NC

Retreat begins at 4 pm on the 19tn, ends at 11 on the 22nd.

Join me in Asheville, North Carolina for a long weekend just for you.  If you are feeling tired and disconnected from moving from task to task and never feeling as if you are truly present and fully living your life, then this retreat is for you.  This weekend, you will rest and renew, spend time alone and in community, practice Yoga, and learn mindfulness tools you can use on a daily basis.  Inspired by my book, A Year of Mindful Wellness, my vision is to help retreaters to be able to experience, create, and feel more; to learn how to do less and accomplish more; to breathe more and stress less, to feel better and be healthier, and to understand that each of us is whole and complete and enough, just as we are.

Om Sanctuary

On 54 wooded acres, yet just minutes from downtown Asheville, we will gather at the OM Sanctuary, a peaceful retreat center that was developed as a response to the increasing number of people of all ages, cultures, and income levels seeking holistic and healthy methods for stress reduction, living in balance, embracing sustainable practices, and bringing inspiration into their personal and professional lives.

This retreat is open to everyone, and no Yoga experience is necessary.  My intention is to share practices and tools that will encourage deep relaxation over the long weekend, and a sense of mindful wellness that will go with you from the retreat in to your daily life.  You will learn to access your inner peace, even in stressful situations and have a plan to maintain perspective and balance, no matter what challenges come your way.

This is a weekend, just far enough away from home, and for just enough time, to truly take a pause and take care of yourself.  And when you return to the “real world”, you will be ready and able to come back in a more balanced and mindful way!

“It is a joy and an honor to teach on retreat. I get to see wonderful individuals shed their stress and other trappings of day-to-day life, and get to reconnect with themselves in a whole and healing way. As a teacher, I am able to observe the positive shifts that happen when people step away from their usual habits and patterns and gain a perspective that energizes them to live the life they really want to live! On retreat, this usually also involves a lot of beautiful scenery, delicious food, laughter and support form our community, and some “a-ha” moments. It’s a beautiful thing!”  ~ Lisa

Lisa Feder is a full-time yoga instructor and wellness consultant living in Austin, Texas. She has had a passion for all things wellness for as long as she can remember. While working for over 20 years in the corporate world as a strategic marketing specialist, she began teaching fitness classes in her free time. This led her to explore yoga, and she fell in love with the way it made her and her students feel—physically, emotionally, and energetically.

After teaching part-time for many years, she took the leap and started Being Well Yoga, where she brings yoga on-site to companies to help employees learn how to live healthier, more balanced lives. She also teaches in studios, schools, senior centers, parks, and private homes. Her approach is balanced, and she likes to bring humor, challenge, and deep relaxation into her practices.

isa is especially interested in helping students find a yoga practice that really works for them, and she believes that yoga can provide more ease and comfort to all. She has seen the effects of a healthy lifestyle on her family as well and wants to share. Through classes, retreats, and workshops, Lisa loves helping people explore how to incorporate healthy habits into their daily lives in a fun and sustainable way. She is working on her first book, about bringing mindful habits into your daily life. Her favorite thing is hearing about the positive changes her participants make for themselves.

Lisa, RYT-500, E-RYT-200, incorporates many yoga traditions into her practices. She has certifications in Hatha, Hatha Flow, Kundalini, and I-rest Yoga Nidra. She has had the opportunity to study with Donna Farhi, Sean Corne, Sarah Powers, Anodea Judith, Beth Shaw, Amy Weintraub, Gary Kraftsow, and Richard Miller. She is currently working towards her iRest certification, so that she can help people more deeply tune in to their true nature and find peace, calm, and relaxation. All of her wonderful teachers have shared wisdom that informs her teaching, and she is grateful to them all.

Testimonials

The yoga retreat was exactly what I needed for my personal renewal. Lisa and Dana provided a safe and nurturing space for me to practice yoga and bond with a wonderful group of women. The location was beautiful and relaxing along the Pacific Ocean with all the wonders of Costa Rica. To be able to wake up to the sounds of monkeys and view the setting sun while practicing yoga will be forever etched in my mind.Thank you for this wonderful experience, Lisa and Dana!
